It's Black Friday week 2025 which means tonnes of incredible plugin deals are on offer. And with so much choice, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out which are the hottest deals. But fear not, I've done my research, as I do every year, and found my Top 10 Black Friday picks for you! So here we go:
FABFILTER PRO Q4
Probably one of the highest regarded and most popular plugins in HISTORY. And it's certainly my top plugin (as in I couldn't live without it on any mix I do). The plugin is very intuitive so you are able to EQ quickly and efficiently. It also offers lots of advanced tools including Dynamic EQ and Mid/Side EQ. But what separates it from the Pro Q3 is the new spectral mode which removes nasty resonances from your mix as well as the incredible frequency clash monitor which shows where your instruments are clashing in the mix. I could go on. If I only had enough money to buy one plugin this Black Friday. This would be the one I would choose.

This bundle is actually insane. It includes all of the best analog plugins available and my top used plugins. Back in the day I bought each of these plugins for £200+ each so this is a massive saving. Melodyne, in my opinion, is crucial for every single producer. Ensuring that vocals are pitch perfect is now essential for modern chart tracks. The Assistant tier is a great pro-level tier as you get the tools to really refine the tuning, including the note separation tool. If you are serious about being a pro producer then this is essential.

FABFILTER PRO L2 LIMITER
The Pro L2 is my got- limiter for mastering. It has some great features such as 8 different colours to choose from, as well as a helpful graph that shows you where your limiter is working. I can get seriously loud masters out of this plugin. It's intuitive, has great features and sounds great.

WAVES MAGMA BB TUBES SATURATOR
If you're an avid follower of mine then you'll know that I LOVE the Waves Magma BB tubes. Saturation is a great way to beef up your mixes or instruments. It brings out the harmonics which is extra detail. And that extra details leads to a bigger sound. The Magma BB tube is an analog emulated plugin that offers two flavours of saturation - Beauty (more pleasant) and Beast )more aggressive). Both of them work great together as well. I use this plugin on every mix to make vocals, snares, basses and pads sound massive. Definitely worth a buy!

Universal Audio are inviting to pick a FREE plugin of theirs from a choice of 10. This includes the incredible 1176 compressor, the LA-2A compressor, the Pultec EQ collection, PolyMax Synth, Oxide Tape Recorder, Pure Plate Reverb, Verve Analog Machines, Century Tube Channel Strip, Galaxy Tape Echo or the Showtime '64 Amp. Now I'm a fan of all of these plugins! So if you were asking me which one to go for I'd suggest the Pultec collection (because you get 3 plugins with it and the Pultec EQP-1A in particular adds incredible sounding power and punch to the low end and a silky sheen to the high end) OR the 1176 compressor which is one of the best sounding compressor plugins available. The choice is yours!

WAVES CLARITY VX DE-REVERB
Let me tell you that when I discovered this plugin it blew my mind. You might have asked yourself, just like I did, why do you need a plugin that removes reverb from vocals when you don't record with reverb on your vocals? Well, that's because many producers or artists now recorded their vocals on at home and don't have an acoustically treated environment. This means that when vocals are recorded that there can be some room ambiance captured on the vocal recording. Like a very small echo. As a Mix Engineer I can tell you that it doesn't matter how expensive your microphone and audio interface is - if you don't record your vocals dry, the recording will sound cheap. Step forward the Clarity VX De-Reverb. It will give you the driest sounding vocals, like your vocals were recorded in a top pro recording studio. The drier the vocal recording - the better it sounds and the easier it is to make it sound great in mixing. I can't live without this plugin now and it's rare for a plugin to shock me with how good it is. This plugin did just that!

UNIVERSAL AUDIO LEXICON 224 REVERB
This plugin is an emulation of a reverb unit that you will find in every commercial studio in the world - and for good reason. It may take a little while to figure out the controls to get the sound you want, but start with the presets and you get this rich, warm analog reverb that sounds great across all genres of music and vocal styles. It is one of the best sounding reverbs there is. On vocals it is stunning!
